Vinyl Plank flooring in bathroom General thoughts on vinyl plank flooring in a bathroom? I had never heard about this stuff and just knew of normal ceramic tile with grout and hardie board under it. It claims to be water proof but the lack of a grout to fill small spots worries me a bit since I don't want anything getting to the subfloor. I'm planning a bathroom renovation and doing tile floors would require a ton of prep work to be done to the subfloor and underlying structure.
I am looking for something that will work with a less than perfectly level subfloor with a bit of bounce. Also, I've got 3/8" flooring elsewhere and would prefer having a noticeable change of elevation between the finish floor. What vinyl options most.

End of the day you could put vinyl over the tile but a couple things to note: Without a level ground the tile will possibly eventually translate through the vinyl and the tile pattern will be noticeably visible through the vinyl. The carpet in the basement bathroom molded by the shower (we had a leak) so we ripped up the carpet that was in there and underneath there's concrete with a layer of paint and on top of the paint is carpet glue.
