Color vision Colorless, green, and red photographic filters as imaged by camera Color vision (CV), a feature of visual perception, is an ability to perceive differences between light composed of different frequencies independently of light intensity. But what exactly explains our experience of color? A number of theories have emerged to explain this phenomenon, and one of the earliest and best.
