Privacy Policy
Effective July 3, 2026
Mylo Phone is a Chrome extension that lets authorized users of the Mylo Prime platform place, receive, and manage their firm's phone calls and text messages directly from their browser. This policy explains what information the extension handles and why.
Who provides Mylo Phone
Mylo Phone is provided by Mylo Prime LLC. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to mylo@myloprime.com.
Information the extension handles
- Account & authentication. When you sign in, the extension obtains and stores a session token for your Mylo Prime account so it can act on your behalf. A per-installation device identifier is generated to register your browser as one of your phone devices.
- Phone system data. To show your phone, the extension retrieves data from your firm's Mylo Prime account — including call history, voicemail, contacts, text messages, and speed-dial favorites — and caches it locally in the browser for responsiveness.
- Call audio. Placing and receiving calls uses your microphone and a real-time voice connection provided by Twilio. Audio is transmitted to complete the call and is not separately recorded by the extension.
- Phone numbers on web pages. The click-to-call feature scans the text of pages you visit to detect phone numbers and turn them into one-click dial links. This detection happens locally in your browser; page content is not collected, stored, or sent anywhere by the extension.
How the information is used
- To authenticate you and connect your browser to your firm's Mylo Prime phone system.
- To display your calls, messages, voicemail, and contacts, and to place and receive calls and texts.
- To notify you of incoming calls and new messages.
The extension does not use or transfer your data for advertising, does not sell or transfer your data to third parties outside the uses described here, and does not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Who the information is shared with
- Mylo Prime — your firm's own back-office platform, which stores and manages the phone data on the firm's behalf.
- Twilio — the telecommunications provider used to carry call signaling and voice/text traffic.
These are service providers used to deliver the phone functionality. Your firm remains the controller of its data within Mylo Prime.
Data storage & retention
Session tokens and cached phone data are stored locally in your browser's extension storage and are cleared when you sign out or remove the extension. Records held within Mylo Prime are retained according to your firm's own data-retention practices.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time from the extension, which clears the stored session and cached data, and you can remove the extension from chrome://extensions. To request access to or deletion of records held within Mylo Prime, contact your firm or mylo@myloprime.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
Mylo Phone is intended for authorized users of the Mylo Prime platform and the law firms that use it. It is not a consumer service and is not directed to the general public.
