Why train with us?
Mini first aid started life purely as a first-aid training provider for parents and carers across the uk.
Now a national franchise with 70 locations, it offers first aid training for children, adults and it even has an extreme injuries course for those in extreme situations. So this bestselling mini first aid kit is put together by the brand with a well rehearsed view of first aid situations. Despite its size, it includes 74 items – including two foil blankets, burn gel, tweezers, digital thermometer and paramedics' recommended shears – all presented in a pretty oilskin case that children will be comfortable with.
Crepe bandages are mainly used for sprained or strained ankles or wrists. Before applying the bandage, treat the injury with an ice pack to reduce swelling. After 10 minutes, remove the ice pack for a few minutes before re-applying. If the swelling does not go down, it could be a break so you should seek medical advice as an x-ray may be needed. If you think it’s just a strain and some of the swelling has gone down as a result of the ice pack, apply the crepe bandage for support and secure using tape or safety pins.
If you’re required to drive as part of your job, it’s recommended that you have a first aid kit to meet health and safety guidelines relating to the provision of first aid. Self-employed workers are advised to assess the hazards and risks of their workplace, which may identify the need for a personal first aid kit if the work involved continuous road use or driving long distances as this may increase the chances of there being an injury employers must include lone workers in their risk assessment , and ensure any lone workers are suitably provided for with first aid supplies and training, if necessary.

Bs8599-1 is the british standard for workplace first aid kits. The british healthcare trades association reviewed this standard and proposed changes to the british standards institute (bsi). Then, this organisation released an update in january 2019. The new range of bs8599-1 compliant first aid kits has been fully revised for the new 2019 update to the standard. In today's working environment, these workplace first aid kits are more relevant. These first aid products not only comply with the british standards but are also more “fit for purpose”. Tiger supplies’ range of first aid products is in line with the changes in workplace practices and risks.
Cuts, burns and scrapes from working on cars or sustained during that shopping trip or weekend away can all be dealt with effectively and quickly on the spot, before seeking professional help if it’s required. However, makers can’t agree on exactly what a first aid kit designed to go in a car should contain, so we opened up eight to find the best one to keep in your car’s boot.
aero british standard kits fully meet the requirements of bs 8599-1:2011. There are 3 sizes; small, medium and large. During 2011 the british standards institute published bs 8599-1:2011 workplace first aid kits. This is the first british standard specifying the contents of workplace first aid kits. This clearly establishes a standard for workplace first aid provisions and the contents of the new kits are more appropriately aligned with today’s workplace risks and first aid needs. All kits are supplied with a wall hanging bracket, tabs for security seals and are filled with quality aero brand components ensuring the highest level of care for your personnel in time of emergency.
