Does the 2024 Toyota Tacoma’s back window roll down? Yes, the 2024 model retains the standard power-operated roll-down mechanism, offering convenience and hands-free operation. Unlike older trims, this generation prioritizes user-friendly features, ensuring the back window lowers smoothly with a simple button press. Owners frequently praise the responsive mechanism, which maintains reliability in all weather conditions. The system integrates seamlessly with the vehicle’s central locking and keyless entry, enhancing overall usability. Ensuring the window lock is engaged activates the roll-down, preventing accidental lowering. For maximum functionality, users should verify the window tracks are clean and the function remains responsive through routine maintenance. With its reliable roll-down feature, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma continues to deliver practical, modern convenience for every ride.

I doubt anyone that needs/wants a midsized truck is going to upgrade to a Tundra just because the back window doesn't roll down in the Tacoma. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma does not include a factory sliding rear window on any trim or cab configuration. The rear window is fixed glass, and Toyota did not offer a sliding option for this model year.

I am sure hoping the gen4 has a power sliding rear window like the gen3. I have looked at a bunch of pics and can't see the switch for it anywhere. I have a 2024 TRD off-road double cab.

I've seen Youtube videos that show the capability of using the key fob to both roll down windows and open moonroof as well as to roll up windows and close moonroof with customized settings activated by the Toyota service department or via Carista. I have seen it discussed in other forums, but has anyone tried to install a 4runner rear roll down window in their TACO yet? I'm debating weather to try it or not and was reaching out to see if anyone has attempted/completed such a feet. Please advise.

When comparing the new 2024 Tacoma design against the (current) 2023 Tacoma, I noticed one feature that is clearly smaller than last year. The sliding rear window. Opening and closing the windows is also called rolling up and down the windows.

Older model cars had a mechanism where you would turn a arm clockwise or counterclockwise to open and close window. Looking to see if any one happens to know about the rear window on the 2024 Off road edition. Looking at the build options, it looks like you can select a horizontal sliding window (part of the premium package is where I see it), but all the photos seem to have the small "porthole" style window.
