Before we start, gather your materials: an old t-shirt or a piece of fabric (at least 36" wide and 40" long), scissors, fabric glue, a ruler, and a pen. Once you have everything ready, let's begin our no-sew wrap skirt adventure.

Preparing Your Fabric

Start by measuring and cutting your fabric to the right size. For a wrap skirt, you'll need a rectangle that's 36" wide and 40" long. If you're using a t-shirt, cut off the bottom hem and sleeves to create a large rectangle. Remember to account for the width of the wrap overlap.

Using a ruler and pen, mark the center point of your fabric's width. This will be the center of your skirt's wrap. Also, mark a line 1" from the top edge for the waistband.

Creating the Waistband

Fold the top 1" of your fabric inward, along the line you marked earlier. Apply fabric glue along the inner edge of this fold to create a neat, secure waistband. Let it dry completely before moving on.

Once dry, your waistband should be a narrow strip at the top of your fabric. This will be the part you tie around your waist to secure the skirt.

Shaping the Skirt

Now, let's shape the skirt. Fold your fabric in half lengthwise, with the right sides facing out. Apply fabric glue along the long edge, leaving a 1" gap at the top for the waistband. Let it dry.

After the glue is dry, unfold your fabric. You should now have a long, narrow tube with a closed bottom and an open top (waistband). Try it on to ensure it fits comfortably around your waist.

Finishing Touches

Now that your skirt is taking shape, it's time to add some personal touches. You can decorate the waistband with ribbons, lace, or buttons. For a boho-chic look, consider adding tassels or fringe to the hem.

If you'd like to add length to your skirt, simply cut another piece of fabric to match the width of your skirt, fold it in half lengthwise, and attach it to the bottom of your skirt using fabric glue. Let it dry completely before wearing.
