Currently, the record for the longest arm hair on a living person is held by Ayhan Çakar of Turkey. His arm hair measures an astonishing 18.1 cm (7.13 inches) in length, according to the Guinness World Records. However, the longest recorded arm hair of all time belonged to Hans Steininger of Austria, who lived in the 16th century. His arm hair was an incredible 1.8 meters (5 feet 11 inches) long, but unfortunately, this record is not recognized by the Guinness World Records due to lack of contemporary evidence.

Çakar's record, on the other hand, was officially verified by Guinness World Records in 2013. His arm hair is so long that it can be styled and even dyed, with Çakar often seen sporting it in a ponytail or dyed different colors. He has become somewhat of a local celebrity in his hometown of Siirt, Turkey, where he works as a butcher.
