Start a New Design

Log in to your Canva account, then click on 'Create a New Design'. Choose a custom dimension, like ' Letter' (8.5 x 11 inches) for a broader template application.

Once on the design screen, click on the 'Uploads' tab in the left sidebar. Next to the search bar, click 'Upload' to access your device's files.

Select and Upload Your Template

Navigate to the folder containing your template, select the file, and click 'Open' or 'Upload'.

The upload progress bar will appear. Once complete, your template will be added to your Canva Uploads. Click 'Done'.

Create a Template from Your Design

Now that your template is uploaded and in your Canva Uploads, it's time to create a template from it. Here's how:

Click on your uploaded template to open it. Then, click 'Share' in the toolbar above.

Choose 'Template' from the Share Menu

In the Share menu that appears, click 'Template'.

Name your template and add a description, then click 'Create Template'. Your template is now ready for others to use.

Share Your Template

By default, your template is private. To share it, click 'Share' again, then type the email addresses of those you want to share it with.

Or, click 'Link to template' at the bottom of the Share menu to get a shareable link. You can paste this link anywhere to invite others to use your template.
