My bathroom on dryer mode reliably dries everything in an hour, so AC dehumidifier mode isn't even an option for me. I stopped worrying about the laundry on rainy days ever since I moved into my current place. A Japanese Bathroom Dryer is much more than a dryer.

What are some general tips on how to do laundry in Japan? I know this will be mocked for a "how do I life?" question but I don't care. This is a legitimate cultural difference. Due to the limited space in Japan houses, they need to fit as many things as possible in a small apartment and this includes a dryer.

They have added clothes drying feature in their bathroom, therefore, you can just wash your clothes, hang them there and they will dry in a few hours (depending on your setting). Apparently 56% of japanese households recycle their bath water for laundry. It makes more sense when you remember people wash in the shower before soaking, so the water doesn't get so dirty.

You hang the clothes on a rack or on the shower curtain rail and they dry fast. In some Japanese hotels you can dry your clothes by hanging them in the bathroom and setting the vent/blower to the clothes-drying mode (google drying clothes in Japanese bathroom).
