What is Tiger Color? Tiger has the hex code #D49C4A. The equivalent RGB values are (212, 156, 74), which means it is composed of 48% red, 35% green and 17% blue. The CMYK color codes, used in printers, are C:0 M:26 Y:65 K:17.

While the coat appears predominantly orange, adorned with distinctive black stripes, variations exist due to species, environment, and genetics, resulting in a fascinating spectrum of shades and patterns.

While orange is by far the most commonly found tiger coloration in the wild, other color variants such as white, golden and stripe-less snow white are theoretically possible to find also in wild population but have very rarely been reported [2,3]. However, these color variations have become great favorites with the general public, and have consequently been bred extensively and aggressively. Are tigers attracted to red? As tigers have dichromatic functional color vision, they are unable to distinguish between red and green.

This makes it harder for them to detect red specifically. However, it's quite common that most mammals' coloration is red, while green is a bit unusual.
