As you may have read elsewhere, I officially got on the bus this year, and lately I've been pursuing digital copies of Grateful Dead recordings based on the famous Betty Boards, the nickname for recordings engineering by the brilliant and often under. At first, I thought the Betty Boards were just another part of the Dead's bootleg and tape-trading culture. But that's not what they are at all.
