I thought about buying a device that would allow me to use CarPlay (my personal phone is Apple) so I bought a powered peak design phone mount and use whatever CarPlay app I want on my phone which is on the handlebar mount and it works great. If you want to use one of these, you'll have to mount a phone or a Carpuride unit to the bike due to BMW's unwillingness to make Apple CarPlay available on the TFT.
