my BMW app on my iPhone has stopped updating the car status since last week. I have two cars on my profile, the petrol car seems to be working fine it is the iX40 which is stuck on 22nd September 2023. I have reinstalled the app, been in the car to look at updates, disconnectEd reconnected the phone a few times with spectacular failures!
Yeah, this is my first car with iDrive etc, so I'm still getting used to the vagaries of the system, and not having experienced any issues like this before, am naturally cautious! The other thing is when you go searching for "how to's" etc, the range of versions doesn't help a great deal as the approach seems to vary slightly depending on iDrive version etc. So in the end it looks like the fix. Could be iDrive, could be the app, could be phone Internet, could be car Internet, could be issues with the BMW servers.
The only things you control are the car and the phone. Ok Just got my Second Bmw, What a pain to get this app version working. Apple when right through.
But on my Samsung Note20+ it just errored out. I installed the Microsoft Edge browser. Open edge and set as default browser.
Reinstalled Mybmw and Magic it worked. Thanks for the post here for noting the browser quirks,.
