Own a 2017 G30 530i since new. Aside from the BMW plastic cooling system shenanigans, the car has been fairly reliable. It is 7 years old and unfortunately the BMW Platinum warranty is ending soon.

Are G30 (2017+) 5 series reliable? Looking at 530is with 25-40k miles I test drove a 530i a few days ago and loved it. I haven't found much online about this generation of 5 series. What has y'all's experience been reliability wise? Also, I know y'all are probably gonna recommend I get an in-line 6.
I can, it'll just be a 40k plus. It will reach the 155mph BMW nanny with power to spare. There's two other engines available in the G30.
