Judging from the faux-wood adjustable bed frame that's standard across a majority of the dorms, I wouldn't bother with a headboard frankly. It's one more thing to lug to school and the existing frames aren't built for attachments like that since they're half-height lofted, you'd need some very tall legs on the headboard to reach.
