Daniel in the lions' den is a story found in chapter 6 of the Book of Daniel. It tells of how the biblical Daniel is saved from lions by the God "because [he] was found blameless before him" (Daniel 6:22). [2].
Almost everyone's familiar with the story of Daniel being consigned to the den of lions by King Darius' jealous counselors for praying to the Lord. But did he face another lions' den? Bel and the Dragon recounts apocryphal stories about Daniel, including another account of him being thrown into a lions' den! King Darius is tricked by jealous men.
While Daniel is praying, the men burst in on him and Daniel ends up in the lions' den! But Daniel prays again. What happens? God honored the obedience of both men.
He delivered Daniel from the lion's den, and He delivered Jesus-the only person to always obey God perfectly-from the grave in victory over death. One final detail of this story should challenge us in our walk with God: Darius was rooting for Daniel. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the kingdom of God on earth.
Daniel Chapter 2 Nebuchadnezzar's dream is revealed to Daniel-The king saw a great image, a stone cut from the mountain without hands destroyed the image, and the stone grew and filled the whole earth. From Daniel 6 Daniel was the king's helper. The king liked Daniel because he was a good person.
The other leaders were jealous! They made a plan to hurt Daniel. They tricked the king into making a new law that whoever prayed to God would be thrown into a den of lions. They knew Daniel believed in God and would pray no matter what.
