Husband and I were able to snag reservations for Yan Dining Room, an 8-course dinner experience inside the private dining room of Hong Shing Restaurant.

Yan Dining Room is organized by Chef Eva Chin, formerly of Kojin and Avling and Hong Shing Restaurant. The menu combines traditional Chinese flavours with modern cooking techniques. The result: Yan Dining Room, the hidden Chinese restaurant that Chin opened this past fall to great fanfare.

At Yan, Chin and her small but mighty team serve up a thoughtful and conceptual eight.
