Bmw 135i Vs Bmw 1m

German magazine Sport Auto takes the BMW M135i and pits it against the BMW 1M at the legendary Nurburgring. 1M basically runs the same hardware cooling parts as the 135i PPK v.2 with the 850w fan & additional water rad. It also has specially written ///M software in the ECU to intergate the ///M button function, so will be different.

Actual DME unit is the same I believe. 1M N54 also has a different ///M bespoke flywheel assembly, and of course the dual tailpipe exhaust. Nobody talks about the 135is, all the hype is about the 1m.

For those who don't know, the 135is has 320hp and 317lbft of torque versus the 135i's 300 for both numbers, and the 1m has 355hp and 335lbft. It also has an appearance package, and all of the goodies from the m-sport 135i, just with extra power. The 135i belongs to a good friend of mine and the 1M was a BMW press / fleet car.
