Introduced in 1977, the 7 Series is BMW's flagship car and is only available as a sedan or extended-length limousine. The 750i was BMW's flagship sedan and was featured in the 1997 film Tomorrow Never Dies as the car driven by James Bond. Bond is issued a left-hand drive BMW 7 Series which has German registration plate B MT2144.

BMW 750iL (the stretched version, noted by the "L" in 750iL) is a four-door, as opposed to the sexier two-doored Z3 seen in GoldenEye. But the 750iL has a combination of conservative good looks and performance that's comparable to any of its predecessors. When Bond returned with 1995's GoldenEye after a six-year hiatus, the obvious choice for new 007 Pierce Brosnan was the box-fresh Aston Martin DB7.
