Center Bore Bmw E39

The e39 5 series is the oddball of the rest of the 5/6/7/8/Z8 models with its 74.1mm center bore versus a 72.56mm for the rest. So trying to overcome a larger whee hub and a wheel offset range that is completely different you'd be better off looking for wheels with the correct wheel offset and hub size. Searching on this forum ive found a few different numbers for the e39 centre bore: 74mm; 74.1mm; 74.2mm Today measuring i got 74.5mm? Does anyone know what diameter i should mill the wheel centres to?

I'm new to BMWs and this is my first e39 my wheel pattern is 5 Series E39 = PCD 5x120, centre bore 74.0mm and M12x1.5 bolt thread. ET 15-25. And I'm hoping someone either has a nice set of bmw 17 or 18 inch rims that would trade for a set of 05 530i bmw rims I bought that are practically new.

The E60 bore is 74mm, the E39 is 72.1mm the E60 is 74mm so although you can physically bolt up an E60 wheel to an E39 with no fouling, the lack of a good fit around the hub/centrebore means that the wheel will not be properly centred and therefore balanced.
