Forum Bmw 750 Gs

General chat relating to the BMW F750/850GS. Topics in this board must be F750/850GS related on subjects that are not. In 2017, I traded my 2006 R12GS for a 2017 R12RT.

I love it!. But, most of my riding is commuting in and around NYC. I miss my GS on the banged up city streets and highways so I am considering getting an F750GS.

The 750 actually has a better power band for normal riding that the 900 does, & it definitely has a shorter seat height. In fact I know of 2 riders that have switched, 1 from an 800GS & one from an 850GS to the 750GS & both like the newer 750 better due to lower seat height & more manageable lower RPM throttle control. I test rode a BMW F750GS with all the doodads yesterday, liked it, and went ahead and pulled the trigger. Way more than I wanted to spend, but 2019 going into 2021 have been utterly shit years for us - I figure I'll reward myself for surviving, and the financed rate was 4.1% over 60 months - 200$ a month, around 1000$ in total interest. I recently bought a used 2020 F750GS low suspension, with 1500 miles. I've been riding a 2014 Triumph T100, as well as many 60's and 70's British twins, so naturally I tried the Triumph Tigers as well. The BMW was a better fit, plus.

The build of the 750 is pure BMW. Although the motor is made by Loncin in China, it is assembled in Germany, and it feels like a true BMW. I've had a 1200GS, and the quality of the 750 seems roughly the same, but at a fraction of the cost.

(I paid €11k for a dealer demonstration bike with under 2k miles on it.). Newguy: Using BMW's different models as an example, each of their various models, be it a R1250RS/ R - K1600's - R1250GS/ GSA - RnineT - or various F-GS's, "each" are all good (no right/ wrong) and they simply provide a different riding experience, and because of that, it just comes down to personal choice/ needs/ wants. In true BMW style, my bike is actually 850cc, not a 750.

There is an F850, but this is for off.
