Dunelm How to Measure Curtains for Perfect Fit

Getting the right curtain size is essential for both style and function—Dunelm’s intuitive measuring guide ensures your curtains fit perfectly every time.

To measure curtains properly at Dunelm, start by measuring the full width from one curtain rod to the opposite rod. Then, measure the length from the top of the rod to the floor, ensuring you account for any desired overlap or hanging style. Always add 2-5 cm to the width for a clean, tailored look. Use the exact measurements provided in Dunelm’s product details to select curtains with confidence.

Begin by laying the curtain flat or hanging it naturally. Use a measuring tape to capture width—measure across the fullest point. For length, start at the ceiling-mounted top edge and measure down to your preferred floor or sill height. If adjusting for layers or drapes, factor in total depth. Dunelm’s customer guide offers visual aids to simplify this process and minimize errors.

Correct measurements prevent wasted purchases and ensure your curtains enhance space elegance. Dunelm’s curated range matches standard sizes, but custom cuts or unique styles may require precise input. Accurate data leads to perfect alignment, smooth draping, and long-lasting appeal—all key to maximizing home style and comfort.
