Gameplay Basics

On their turn, a player rolls both dice and moves their game piece clockwise the corresponding number of spaces. If the space landed on is unowned, the player can choose to buy it or not. If the player chooses to buy, they place one of their Go stones on the space to claim it. If the player chooses not to buy, the space is auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Territory Control

To claim a territory, a player must place at least two of their Go stones adjacent to each other on the board. The more stones a player places on the board, the larger the territory they control. If a player lands on an opponent's territory, they must pay rent based on the number of stones in the territory.

Special Spaces

The Monopoly Go board includes special spaces with unique rules:

Chance and Community Chest

If a player lands on a Chance or Community Chest space, they draw the top card and follow the instructions. These cards can provide rewards, penalties, or special actions.

Income Tax and Luxury Tax

If a player lands on the Income Tax or Luxury Tax spaces, they must pay the corresponding amount to the bank. The amounts are $200 and $100, respectively.

Go to Jail

If a player lands on the "Go to Jail" space, they move their game piece to the Jail space and cannot collect rent on their next turn. They can be released from Jail by rolling doubles, using a Get Out of Jail Free card, or paying a $50 fine.

Winning the Game

The game continues until one player has acquired all the properties on the board or has eliminated all other players from the game. The player with the most money at this point is declared the winner.

Monopoly Go offers a unique blend of strategy and luck, making it an engaging game for both Monopoly and Go enthusiasts. So, gather your friends and family, and get ready to claim territories and accumulate wealth in this exciting board game fusion. Happy gaming!
