My theory for why Optimus looks different than the others is because Optimus would probably be like Jesus, a birth that confuses others, as I imagine Prime would've been born from the essence of Primus himself, whereas the other primes may not have necessarily been created in his image. Just my head canon though. Optimus Prime was created as the last of the Thirteen Primes, the first generation of Transformers, each created directly by Primus as a band of unique warriors to combat and defeat Unicron.

Not only Optimus but also other Transformers don't look like the ancient Primes, except for the Fallen. It may be the generic look of ancient Cybertronian, I think. In transformers when Optimus prime arrives on earth he looks like this, but in bumblebee they show him on cyber trim with the blue and red already? Why is this? I am confused.
BBM Optimus is a really cool update on the old cartoon model, looking like a blend between that one and middle. Trilogy Optimus looks like an awesome Transformer design, from the details, to showing what he transforms into just from seeing the parts on his body. Anyhow, do any of you guys do this?
