Study on Relationship between Shading and Outdoor Air Temperature Based ...

The purpose of this study was to provide guidelines for optimizing the outdoor air temperature of residential estates by focusing on the relationship between shading and summer daytime outdoor air temperature in high-rise residential estates in Beijing.

With respect to the morphological characteristics of high-rise residential estates, three types of shading were summarized, and their relationships with air temperature were quantified and analyzed.

This study , by elucidating the causal relationship between green and grey infrastructure and human-perceived temperature in the Netherlands, not only enhances the understanding of the shading -induced cooling effects of green and grey infrastructure but also supports future large-scale urban design aimed at improving urban thermal comfort.

Effects of building shading on outdoor adaptive thermal comfort and the ...
This study , conducted in Xiamen, China—a city in the hot-summer and warm-winter climate zone—employed a comparative experimental approach to examine differences in outdoor thermal adaptation between participants in building-shaded and unshaded environments.

In this study , we investigated the walking speed and thermal comfort of pedestrians during the transition from outdoor to air -conditioned indoor spaces and categorized the influencing factors into three main dimensions: physical environment, physiological dimension, and psychological response.
