Information on 635 csi engine conversions Hi, Any info on installing an American 8 cyl/auto tranny into a 1987 635 csi? M30B34 engine swap from E34 535i to E24 635 CSI Hi, Few months ago I've bought 1983 E24 635 CSI (160 kW) without engine. Today I've bought an M30B34 with code 34 6K B from BMW E34. Does anyone know differences or obstacles with putting it to my 6er?
Anybody havew any ideas, or have performed an engine swap on an E24. I am thinking about a M3 motor. I have an automatic trans which I want to stick with the auto because the car is to big to autocross and it is a daliy driver.

The customer wanted to replace the factory 3.4 L M30 inline. A crate engine isn't an option. It's possible but will take a huge amount of engineering and in particular wiring understanding and skill.

Basically a remote mounted vacuum booster from a newer 5 series BMW. Hi again, Another engine swap in the making for a E24 635csi, want to put a V8 in, was thinking E39 M62 but do like the few extra HP from the N62B44 or 48, I realize the wiring aspec is a little more complex, will run donor car DME alongside auto and ecu for that.
