Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. @JulieDobinson The current new customer price for the 'Multiscreen' add-on is £15 per month according to the Sky website. One Multiscreen subscription covers up to four Mini boxes.
The first Q Mini is usually 'free' (no up-front cost) after which there's a £49 fee for each additional. If you want additional storage space as well as access to UHD, the Sky Q 2TB box is the better bet. Both these boxes also come with the option to record up to six channels at once rather than the three channels you are limited to with a standard Sky Q 1TB box.
If you want to take Sky Q Multiscreen it is £15 per month added to your existing TV subscription, with an additional cost for each Sky Q Mini box you want in your home. Here's everything you need to know about Sky Q, including how much it costs and what you get for your money. Our straightforward guide to Sky Q as we break down what the TV streaming box is, how it works, how much it costs and whether it is worth buying.

(Remember you are not buying any Q devices - they are loaned for the duration of your subscription). Sky doesn't say how much the extra boxes will cost. This Silver box is also the only one of the two that supports 4K, so if you want to be watching UHD content when it hits later in the year.
Question in header. @PJ1980 You can have a maximum of 4 mini boxes loaned to you by Sky. You can watch Sky content on two minis and the main box at the same time.
You may be able to use a third mini box if the first one in use is being used for a streaming app ie: Netflix or DIsney+. Be aware the original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. To check if you have the non.
Get Sky Go Extra at no added cost, and watch live TV or download on demand shows on up to four devices (in line with your TV subscription). Each Sky box has its own parental controls, so you can restrict viewing on one box without affecting the others. The older 1TB non UHD box only allows you to watch on 1 mini box as well as the main box.
Each mini box which is loaned to you may be subject to a one off upfront charge (the first mini box is often free) but you only need one Sky Q monthly Multiscreen subscription currently £15.
