Rotating and Moving Furniture

The Magic Layout tool automatically places furniture in each generated layout. However, you may want to make adjustments to better suit your preferences. To do this, click on a piece of furniture to select it, then use the rotation handles that appear to turn it or the arrows that appear to move it.

You can also use the 'Copy' and 'Paste' functions to duplicate furniture or entire layout elements. This is particularly useful if you want to create symmetry in your design or repeat a successful layout in another room.

Customizing Wall Colors and Materials

To give your layout a more personalized touch, you can customize the wall colors and materials. Click on the 'Walls' icon in the top toolbar, then select the 'Paint' or 'Material' tool from the dropdown menu.

Use the color picker or material library to choose your desired finish, then click and drag over the walls to apply it. You can also use the 'Eraser' tool to remove a finish if you change your mind.

Saving and Exporting Your Design

Once you're happy with your custom layout, it's time to save and export your design. This will allow you to revisit your work, make further adjustments, or share your creation with others.

To save your design, click on the 'File' menu at the top of the screen, then select 'Save'. You can also choose to save your design as a template, allowing you to apply it to other rooms or projects in the future.

Exporting Images and Plans

To export images of your design, click on the 'Export' icon in the top toolbar. This will open a new panel displaying various export options, such as image size, format, and quality.

Choose the export settings that best suit your needs, then click on the 'Export' button. Your image will be downloaded to your device, ready to be shared or printed.

You can also export your design as a floor plan by selecting the 'Floor Plan' option in the export panel. This will generate a PDF containing a detailed scale drawing of your layout, complete with measurements and annotations.

With your design now saved and exported, you're one step closer to bringing your dream space to life. The Magic Layout tool in Floorplanner offers a wealth of possibilities, allowing you to explore countless design options with ease. So, go ahead, let your creativity flow, and watch as your perfect room takes shape before your eyes.
