Coloring pages capture that adventurous spirit in black and white, ready for kids and adults alike to fill with vibrant hues. Whether your young artist wants to color Mario racing across New Donk City or King Kuppa looming large in his fortress, these pages offer creative screen-free fun that also reinforces knowledge of the game's storyline.

What Are Mario Odyssey Coloring Pages Featuring King Kuppa?

Mario Odyssey coloring pages are printable or digital line art illustrations based on scenes and characters from Nintendo's 2017 platformer Super Mario Odyssey. King Kuppa, often used by fans to refer to King Bob-omb (the first boss in the game) or King Bowser Koopa in the final confrontation, is a particularly popular subject. These coloring sheets typically feature bold outlines and recognizable iconography—crowns, mustaches, muscular builds with heavily armored shells—making them easy for children to color while still detailed enough for older fans who enjoy more meticulous designs.

Printable coloring pages of King Kuppa from Mario Odyssey bring one of the game's most memorable moments to paper. In the Cascade Kingdom ( Fossil Falls), King Bob-omb stands atop a cliff, wearing a mustache like Mario's hat, and kids can recreate his defeated yet dignified look with earth tones and metallic grays for the armor. Similarly, final battle scenes with King Bowser Koopa in his wedding outfit offer unique artistic choices, from royal purples and golds to fiery reds and blacks.

Why King Kuppa Is the Perfect Coloring Page Subject

King Kuppa stands out as a coloring page subject for several reasons. First, his design is visually striking: he combines the familiar Koopa Troopa silhouette with exaggerated features—big mustache, muscular build, imposing crown—that make him instantly recognizable even for casual fans. Children love characters with bold, exaggerated features because they are easier to color and more fun to look at when finished. Second, his role in the game provides a great story: kids can color the scene, then retell the boss battle narrative. Finally, King Kuppa's armor and crown offer lots of creative possibilities—shiny metallic silver for the spiked shell hair, and shimmering green and red for Bowser enemies.

Recognizability

Kids engage more with beloved characters they already know and King Kuppa is synonymous with Mario Odyssey's adventurous spirit, so the excitement carries over to the coloring activity. Parents appreciate that these pages are based on age-appropriate content without any violence—the battles are all about capturing Cappy rather than harm.

The Benefits of Mario Odyssey Coloring Pages

Coloring pages are more than just a way to keep kids busy. Research consistently shows that structured coloring activities improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and color recognition. When children decide whether King Bob-omb's spiked shell should be forest green or metallic gray, they're making creative decisions and learning about color theory. Themed coloring pages also encourage storytelling and imaginative play, which supports literacy and narrative skills. An added benefit: they can spark conversations about the game's themes, like courage, challenge-seeking, and teamwork.

Printing and Paper Recommendations

For best results, use cardstock—standard printer paper works, but heavier stock holds markers and watercolor pencils better without bleeding. If using crayons, standard copy paper is sufficient. Always check that images are scaled to full page size in your printer settings. For repeated use, consider laminating a master copy and using dry-erase markers for reusable fun.

• Standard copy paper: Ideal for crayons and colored pencils
• Cardstock (65-110 lb): Recommended for markers, gel pens, or light watercolor
• Photo paper: Great for display-quality finished pieces

Creative Project Ideas with King Kuppa Pages

• Paper Puppets: Color and cut out King Kuppa and Mario, attach to craft sticks for retelling boss battle scenes.
• Room Décor: Frame completed pages in simple black frames for a gamer-themed bedroom wall.
• Gift Tags: Shrink and cut colored images for unique birthday present toppers for young Mario fans.
