April 4, 2020 -In the Bible, Jesus Christ insisted that John baptize him so he could confess his sins and repent before God. John the Baptist was confused. Why would Jesus need to repent? Jesus was not only a teacher but he led by example.
He would show the people that anyone could repent and be made saintly by God. So Jesus, though righteous, joined the ranks of sinful men and become like one of us. In this way, we all can repent and ask forgiveness.
