Dog Bathroom Regression

It lasted 3 weeks, and in the 3rd week we had a couple of potty accidents where she peed everywhere when I left her unsupervised. I tried to give her extra cuddles and a lot of chews to keep her busy and soon enough it was done. Of course it varies a lot from dog to dog.

But it will be ok! Potty training takes time. This is my second puppy as an adult, but my first one potty trained within a week.

I knew I was in for it with this one because I knew I was extremely lucky with my first dog, and I wasn't wrong, lol. 9 week old puppies have very small bladders (unless you have a giant breed), and a teensy bit of pee is hard to hold. I'm just wondering if anyone else had had potty training issues/regression after having your dog neutered.

1 year old dog regressing in potty training? Hi all. I've had my puppy since he was 3 months old. When he was that age, accidents in the house were expected.

He finally got his potty training done at 6 months old with only 2 accidents between the ages of 6 months to 11 months. I was VERY happy and so proud! It encourages the dog to go potty and usually they do.

Regression is incredibly normal. If you want to continue using puppy pads then I reccomend going back a step. If you don't want to use puppy pads then you can go cold turkey but have to be incredibly sharp about your puppy's bathroom habits.
