More about Taps On The Green A little history: In the late 19th century, there were five hotels, reflecting the town's prosperity from being on a busy railway junction and on a main road to the north (A6), with two beer-houses, the Cross Keys on the Kellet Road and the Travellers Rest on the Lancaster Road. It really has been part of the Carnforth community for years.
