Sally Abbonizio's fascination with computers began at an early age. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was one of the few girls in her high school who showed interest in computer science. Her parents, recognizing her aptitude, encouraged her to pursue her passion. Abbonizio went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

In 2015, the company was acquired by a leading tech firm, marking a significant milestone in Abbonizio's career.
