These are two simple example scripts, they work stand alone (ie without the need to set up any environment on any recent python).
The original versions are located in our github repository @ https://github.com/MG-RAST/MG-RAST-Tools

Please ensure that the scipt file you download are named accordingly (mg-extract-sequences.py and mg-retrieve-uniprot.py).

To invoke the scripts copy the following line(s) to your command line:
   python mg-extract-sequences.py --help
   python mg-retrieve-uniprot.py --help
