Obsolete Murray Circuit Breakers
You may need to replace any circuit breaker box if it is outdated, malfunctioning, or has visible damage, like burns, melting, or rust. An outdated or malfunctioning circuit breaker box can cause electrical problems and create a fire hazard. Although Murray products are not for sale anymore, they made their main panel compatible with different breaker types: Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupters, Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters, Special Application, Duplex, Triplex, and Quadplex Plug-in breakers.
Murray offers a wide array of thermal-magnetic circuit breakers that are the key element for overload and short-circuit protection of your home's electrical system. Other than that, older circuit breaker panel boards and, of course, very old screw-in fuse panels, will be past the end of their serviceable life after about 50 years and should be replaced. While Murray CBs are no longer available, the main panel is compatible with various breaker types, such as Fault Ground Circuit Interrupters, Special Application, Quadplex, Triplex, and Duplex Plug-in breakers.
Murray breakers are available in countless different configurations, both reconditioned and in some cases surplus new. We list hundreds of models in our online catalog.
