The mods so far on my 1985 22R are: Thorley header with no cat, 2.5" inch to muffler (Autozone Cherry Bomb Turbo), 2" from muffler back, and Double-Gnarly air filter mod (stacked two stock filters). The Tri-Y header will definitely give you more power and torque! In both my 1986, 22RE and my 1985, 22R, the DT header was very noticeable.
