Welcome to a tour of my beautiful kitchen and bathroom, spaces that I've carefully curated to be not just functional, but also visually appealing and reflective of my personal style. I believe that the heart of the home lies in these two rooms, and I'm excited to share my design journey with you.
Kitchen: A Symphony of Functionality and Aesthetics
My kitchen is the epicenter of our home, where we cook, eat, and often gather with friends and family. When redesigning it, I aimed to strike a balance between functionality and aesthetics, resulting in a space that is both inviting and highly efficient.
At the core of my kitchen design is a large, central island (image: kitchen island). It serves as a prep area, a breakfast bar, and a gathering spot for casual conversations. The island is topped with a durable, yet elegant quartz countertop, providing ample workspace and a stunning focal point.

- Cabinets: I chose Shaker-style cabinets in a soft gray hue, which provide plenty of storage and complement the overall color scheme.
- Backsplash: The subway tile backsplash in a herringbone pattern adds visual interest and protects the walls from splashes and spills.
- Appliances: High-end, energy-efficient appliances ensure smooth operation and a sleek, cohesive look.
Lighting: The Jewelry of the Space
Lighting plays a crucial role in setting the mood and enhancing the beauty of the kitchen. I've incorporated a mix of pendant lights, under-cabinet lighting, and recessed cans to ensure that every corner is well-lit and inviting.
Bathroom: A Sanctuary of Serenity
My bathroom is a sanctuary, a place to unwind and rejuvenate. I wanted it to feel spa-like, yet still reflect my personal style. The result is a serene, calming space that combines modern elements with touches of classic elegance.
The centerpiece of the bathroom is the freestanding soaking tub (image: freestanding tub), which invites relaxation and self-care. I paired it with a sleek, glass-enclosed shower that features a rainfall showerhead and built-in bench.

| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Vanity | I chose a double vanity with a Carrara marble countertop and undermount sinks, providing ample counter space and storage. |
| Flooring | Heated, luxury vinyl plank flooring adds both comfort and style, making it a practical choice for a high-traffic area. |
| Tile | Large format, matte subway tiles in a soft gray create a clean, modern look on the shower walls and bathroom floor. |
To complete the look, I added a mix of metallic accents, such as the brass hardware on the vanity and the chrome fixtures, which complement the cool tones of the tile and countertops. The result is a bathroom that is not only beautiful but also highly functional and a true sanctuary within our home.
I hope you've enjoyed this tour of my beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Each space has been a labor of love, designed with care and attention to detail. I believe that the time and effort invested in creating spaces that reflect our personalities and serve our needs is time well spent. Happy designing!
