1986 BMW 3-Series BAUR CABRIOLET Additional Info: FOR SALE A VERY RARE BMW E30 BAUR TC2, WITH THE ETA M20 2.7 LITER 6 CYLINDER ENGINE AND 5 SPD MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH ORIGINAL EURO BUMPERS.BAUR WAS A COACH BUILDER THAT MADE ALL CONVERTIBLES CAR (AND THE SUPERCAR M1 ALSO), UNTIL 1987 WHEN THE FIRST FULL CONVERTIBLE E30 WAS BUILT BY BMW. Production numbers show that there were about 10,000 E30 Baur TC2s produced in Germany, and about 3,000 + more produced in South Africa under license to Baur. I believe that makes them more rare than the 325ix (about 34,000) as well as the M3.

The Baur TC convertible was, of course, eventually superseded by BMW's own convertuble, the 325iC. As time goes on and the numbers further diminish. I have a 1986 BMW 325e Baur TC2.

There were only 10,856 cars converted. 1660 323i's and only 430 325e models. BMW officially only sold 7 Baur E30's through the US dealer network.
