Before selecting a drill, it is essential to understand the target. Most common wall anchors, such as toggle bolts or plastic mollies, feature a expandable sleeve designed to spread behind the drywall surface. The goal of drilling is to create a pilot hole that is precisely wide enough to allow the anchor body to slide through without friction, but not so wide that the anchor collapses.
