Would You Die For Your Kids

Recently watched an interview where multiple parents were asked if they would kill for their child. To my surprise some said no. I'm not a parent yet, but I have a cat & nephew that id kill for if they were put in danger.

What are your thoughts on this question? We were talking about how a lot of people say 'i would die for kids' as a testament of how much they love their children but don't actually mean it or really think about what that actually means and actually. wouldn't.
