Craft a Stylish End Table with Easy 2x4 Plans

Cut Your Lumber

Assemble the Legs and Stretchers
Using a pocket hole jig, drill pocket holes on the inside of each leg piece, about 1" from the top. This will help you create strong, hidden joints when assembling the table.
Apply wood glue to the ends of the stretcher pieces and attach them to the legs using 1-1/4" pocket hole screws. Ensure the legs are square and the table is the correct height by measuring the distance between the floor and the top of the stretchers.
Attach the Table Top
Lay out the table top pieces (front, back, and sides) and apply wood glue along the edges. Align the pieces and attach them using 1-1/4" wood screws, driving the screws up from the bottom for a cleaner look.
Once the table top is assembled, attach it to the leg and stretcher assembly using wood glue and 1-1/4" wood screws driven from the bottom. Ensure the table is level and square before driving the screws.
Finishing Touches
Sand your end table with 120-grit sandpaper to smooth any rough edges or surfaces. Wipe away any dust, and apply your chosen stain or paint for a beautiful, personalized finish.
