Sonic Colors Godot

Modified Godot to have better support for Sonic Colours: Ultimate. Hedgehog Engine is what the game was originally built on. Godot is apparently used for the graphics part of this remaster only, with the original game code still running behind the scenes.

Blind Squirrel Engine just looks like it is their Godot fork. Reply reply KinkyMonitorLizard. (Godot 3.5 and Godot 4.0) Whether 2D games or 3D games, these projects are showing what Godot is capable of producing by indie game developers and game development studios alike.

It's incredible really that these guys are talking about using Godot on consoles when it is in such bad shape. Even if it's a bait and switch, and they spend 100% of the funds on just like, making the engine better, $8m isn't going to get you to 1/20th of Unity or Unreal. It is an insurmountable niche.

It's sad that Sonic Colors: Ultimate is having a pretty nasty controversy with graphical flaws and save data. That's going to reflect poorly on Godot until someone actually finds out what's causing the graphical glitches and other issues. For the engine overall, though, I'm extremely proud.

I've seen the potential in Godot for a while now and it's extremely high praise to have a AAA studio use. Sonic Colors[b] (known as Sonic Colours in PAL regions) is a 2010 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It follows Sonic 's quest to stop his nemesis Doctor Eggman from enslaving an alien race and taking over the world.

Perhaps the highest-profile game made with Godot was Sonic Colors: Ultimate, developed by Blind Squirrel Games. As with all active engines, Godot is continuously updated by its makers.
