I've already sanded with 4 different grits. Holy shit was that a process and made me dislike home depot a little bit more. We have a wood floor we want to stain.
We're considering espresso, but I think maybe it'll make the home look dated. What floor colors are in right now for hardwood flooring? (Ideally something that won't look dated as far as the "gray" look did.). If you're sure it's wood that can be stained I'd stain it somewhere between it's current colour and the trim.
I think the trim colour is too dark for flooring and will highlight every speck of crumb or dust. Just be sure what kind of flooring it is first, your home looks so modern I'd be suspicious it's some sort of manufactured flooring. Third pic is my bathroom which I think is important to include because it transitions into this and right now i think my floor and this modern looking bathroom contrast too much Lastly are Stain colors to choose from.
