APC sweeps all chairmanship, councillorship seats in Kaduna LG polls
The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) says the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates have won the elections in all 23 local governments and 255 wards.
Hajara Mohammed, KADSIECOM’s chairman, disclosed this on Saturday in Kaduna.
Ms Mohammed said, “The electoral and Returning Officers have filed their reports, and at the end of the exercise, 23 won chairmanship and 255 won councillorship positions, respectively.
“The 23 Returning Officers and Ward Returning Officers have declared and submitted their respective results in accordance with the law alongside the Electoral Officers.
“By the power vested on the commission, I hereby wish to confirm the results earlier collated and returned by the Returning Officers as follows.
“APC won the 23 chairmanship positions and the 255 ward councillorship positions across the state.”
