The VolCard account is a debit account that may be used to purchase food at all Vol Dining facilities, goods and services from participating off-campus merchants, snack and beverages from selected soft drink and vending machines located in university housing and various campus locations, VolPrint, as well as make purchases at VolShop and VolTech. Vol Dining at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Nov. 7 to celebrate the grand opening of Cumberland Food Hall, a vibrant new dining destination located on the first floor of Hub Knoxville.
Level 1 Dining Both Level 1 areas of the Student Union are home to some of the most popular dining options on campus. Students, staff, or visitors can enter the Student Union from the 21st Mortgage Plaza to find breakfast, lunch, and coffee options that are easily accessible. Dining options are located across from the Post Office and Vol Retreat as well as near the Pedestrian Walkway bridge.
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville's Culinary Institute (located within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, Department of Retail, Hospitality and Tourism Management) has created the food 4VOLS program to end hunger and waste on campus. Partnering with Vol Dining, food 4VOLS collects usable food from campus outlets and transports the food to The University of Tennessee. Calendar events updated every day.

All Freshmen living on campus are required to purchase a meal plan and may choose from the Tennessee Unlimited 7 or the Tennessee Unlimited 5 meal plan.
