How to reset all nested component scaling to 1 without shape changing ...
My models are complex and old so I don't know what scaling was used for each component and, even if I did, it would take forever to correct manually. This plays havoc with textures overlaid on the default texture buried within nested components.
In my attached screenshot, I applied a procedural material to two cubes. The squared cube with the square tile texture is the correct/desired look, while the rectangular cube is "incorrect" as it stretches the textures tiles when I scaled the object on the y axis.
Texture scaling issue
Hi, I am making a model ad as seen in the image I sampled the front face and applied the material (two textures to the left) when it was applied it was stretched on one axis.

Such details provide a deeper understanding and appreciation for Scaling Nested Textures.
To make a texture take up a smaller part of the object's surface, we can scale the texture mapping up either by scaling the UV map or with the mapping node. For procedural textures , we need to use the mapping node in the shader editor.
Easiest way to keep texture scale consistent across multiple objects
I'm assigning the same material to multiple objects, and I need the material texture to be a consistent scale across the multiple objects. Image below…as you can see, I have multiple patches of grass (individual objects), and the grass texture is scaling differently across each object.
If you've ever scaled a mesh in Unity and noticed your textures stretching or shrinking, this video walks through a clean, reusable solution using a custom shader.

Is there a way to keep the scale of generated textures across multiple objects consistent? I'm trying to figure out a way to have the smaller cube on the right have the same-sized texture as the larger one on the left. I'm using a wave texture in the shader editor.
