Chinese Elm Tree Tucson

-->

Chinese Elm Tree Tucson. I would call this tree a moderate to fast grower with a nice reddish orange bark. The chinese elm is an extremely fast growing shade tree, a great alternative to the chilean mesquite, but requiring much less maintenance and cleanup.

Ulmus parvifolia ‘semperviens’ (chinese elm) is a deciduous tree that forms a graceful, upright, rounded canopy of long, arching, and somewhat weeping branches. I haven't seen any trees taller than this size around town. I would call this tree a moderate to fast grower with a nice reddish orange bark.

I would call this tree a moderate to fast grower with a nice reddish orange bark. The chinese elm (ulmus parvifolia) also known as lacebark elm is a top performing non native shade tree. We love chinese elm trees and carry two of the best varieties available, ‘true green’ and ‘drake.’ both varieties are going to provide dense summer shade! Glossy green foliage creates a lovely dense shade, perfect for a large yard or play area.
