Cromer Narrative Engine and Pantomime Protocol v1.1
Today, we are making the core architectural documentation for the Cromer Narrative Engine publicly available via GitHub.
As the backend infrastructure driving the interactive elements of the Remyverse, the engine moves beyond standard prompt-chaining by treating narrative generation as a dynamic system governed by strict mathematical constraints.
To establish clear prior art and protect the intellectual property of this system, the repository details the Pantomime Protocol v1.1. This includes the formal mathematical models for the engine's core innovations:
- Causal Debt Evaluation: The calculation, tracking, and amortization of logical debt generated by improbable narrative actions.
- The Composition Operator: The weighted merging of AI-generated delta states into the persistent world state.
The whitepaper also explicitly defines alternative mathematical embodiments of this protocol, including Information Theory (Bayesian), Control Theory (Kalman), and Thermodynamic schemas.
The Cromer Narrative Engine is released under a Dual License model. It is available under the GPLv3 for open-source applications. Game studios and developers wishing to integrate the engine's state-management mechanics into proprietary NPC logic or commercial products must acquire a Commercial License.
