Toyota App Pin
To set up the account PIN in your Toyota app dashboard: Tap on the profile icon in the upper right corner. You can reset the PIN for Remote Control on the app. Tap the menu icon.
Go to "Settings" and tap "Reset PIN for Remote Control". Whether you forgot your existing PIN, or want to update it for security, I'll walk you through the full process right on the Toyota app. Anybody have this issue? The prompt to enter my PIN keeps popping up on my screen while I drive.
Both cancelling and entering the PIN does not solve this issue. Anybody else know a solution to this? It's getting extremely annoying. To reset your 6-digit Toyota PIN, access the Toyota app, navigate to your "Account settings" > "Security Settings" and select "Reset PIN" to change your pin within the app; if you've forgotten your PIN, you can also reset it through the Toyota website by logging into your account.
Would make more sense to enter a password or PIN to unlock the app and NOT require your phone to be locked. NO mention of this requirement on Toyota App View attachment 224574. I've recently experienced a "security alert" with the Toyota app.
It appears that Toyota is requiring me to set up a screen unlock code on my phone to access the app. Anyone else experiencing this- and if so- does anyone know of an opt out? How can I reset my User Profile PIN? (toyota.com) What happens if I enter the incorrect PIN? When prompted to enter your PIN, you will have three chances to enter the PIN correctly. It absolutely relates to the app (in that the app conntects your toyota account / that vehicle). I have continued the subscription so I can still use the app to check/lock doors, start the vehicle, etc, but I imagine even if I didn't the app would still need to be on my phone and associated with the vehicle.
I have some problem where do you go on your phone to put in a pin. Can't do it on Toyota app. Thanks Its the pin for the actual phone unlock.
Screen lock on the phone. Toyota app needs that for 'security purposes'.
