Does anyone know the correct colour codes for the R90S Daytona colour scheme? I understand the the orange may not be a paint colour as such but rather a dye of sorts. This can be particularly troublesome with the pinstriping and the smoked colors, and R90S paint. There may be several color coats used, & a finishing top clear coat, one or more colors or types of pinstriping, etc.it all depends on the model (and, probably, year). Standard BMW factory paint for Series /6 motorcycles was the Glasurit brand, available in 1975 in the eight colors above, including the Silver Smoke two-tone fade available only on the flagship R90S model.

Im repainting a 1974 daytona orange R90S. I am told the paint codes are 501 forte orange, 010 for the silver pearl and 107 for the pin striping. The painter is having trouble finding the correct.
